Growth depends on the subspecie.
Some grow to a max of 2ft, others 4ft. Similis and pectinata are known to be the largest.
Ctenosauras are known to be nastier than green cousins, dont tame as much, but u can get them to not bite ur hand off.
Diety is 90% veggie, 10% protein. Captive care practically identical to greens, with possibly less humidity required, since they live in arid areas as well.
Their smaller size is the bigger advantage over greens, but it will be hard to tame it likewise.
If u want something similar with a similar diet and care, u may look up Australian Water Dragons at Agama International.
Similar colors, but a much nicer disposition. Diet may be 50/50 though.
Ask Mark M. at the ctenosaura forum for more information, he's a nice guy, and an experienced breeder of many subspecies of ctenosauras.
