Sorry I thought you said 2,5 inches but you wanted to say 2,5 Feet (In Brazil we use Centimetres so Im not accustomed to calculate in inches and feet!)
Anyway, I think if he has 12 inches SVL he should be bigger than 2,5 Feet STL.Unless he had lost lots of tail!

: In general the STL (snout-tail lenght)is bigger than the SVT (snout-vent lenght).
: A 7 years old iguana cannot have only 2,5 inches. My baby iguana is only few weeks and is already 16 inches!!

: I found an iguana to adopt in my own hometown. The owner is willing to include his hand-built 7'x3' cage (doesn't state 3rd dimension). Cage is always a plus :-)
: : However, the most important thing is that I am not getting in over my head with my first iguana. I am willing to rehabilitate sick animals when I know what I am doing, or correct nutritional deficiencies. However, doesn't this guy seem a bit small for his age? Could he be ill, parasite-ridden, or just comes from a small genetic line?
: : Age: 7 years
: : Gender: Male
: : STV: about 12"
: : STL: about 2.5'
: : Diet: "Kale, carrots, collard greens, and other greens and fruits
: : Does this boy sound as good as I think he does, or is he too small for his age?
