There is an ig rescue in Norwich, NY run by a woman named Debbie Maccargar. She can be reached by phone or e-mail, and also has a web site. Her e-mail is debbiemaccargar@yahoo.com and her phone is 607-337-2748. I've never met her myself, but I know that the igs turned in to the Tompkins County SPCA go to her.

: My wife works with a person who is looking to give her animal up. It was supposed to be her sons animal but he now fail to take care of it and the mother (my wife's coworker) does not want to take care of it any more. At this point I know very little of the animal all I can tell everyone is that it is a large one, she is able to go into the cage without it whipping or biting but not able to handle because it scratches. I will try to get more info on it. If anyone knows of someone who wants or knows of a rescue in the Binghamton, NY area please, please let me know.

I would hate to she the lady give the iguana to someone who knows nothing about them and just have it be tossed from house to house. I would really love to find this animal a loving home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
