Im quite sure that igs recognize and love their owners.When my teen age son only tries to touch one of my igs it's a tantrum in their cage!!When I approach the cage and start talking gently to them, they close their eyes,open the mounth and stretch their heads in my direction waiting to be rubbed.They love so much to be rubbed in their heads that sometimes they forget to hold the trunk where they like to climb and fall down!!
