Your iguana is going to eventually grow up to six feet long, and as an arboreal reptile, it will need greater height than width to its enclosure.
The faster you can gt him out of the aquarium the better. It sounds like to cage you will have will be fine. My cage for Louie is 6' long, 4 1/2' tall, 2 1/2' wide, and he seems pretty happy, and growing uncontrollably! Good luck with your iggy,

Hi I am not really an iguana person but I do have one he no very more difficult than my monitors or water dragons.I want to know if a 50 gallon(3'L 18"W 21"T) is good enough for him he is 22 inches in length. This will only be for a few months in fall I am getting a 3'L+2 1/2'W+5'Tmage for him.
