a little rambling story .....

last weekend, my little sister was in town on a business trip ... (she's the one i've always felt a little inadequit (sp?) around, ya know, she's younger, skinnier, blonder, better at decorating, professional high paying job, etc. etc.! we haven't seen each other in YEARS cuz she used to live ungodly far away, so of course she came over after her business ... of all my family, only SHE could have reacted to iZ the way she did!
most people are impressed when they see iZ, but sis just freaked! her 12 yo son is a budding herpist and his room is full of aquariums with small lizards, turtles, snakes ... (and SHE used to raise frogs/toads when we were little) it was SOOOO cool! she just went on + on + on about how awesome, beautiful, LARGE, mild-mannered iZ IS! she LOVED the hanging tree limb in the living room (complete with silk vines of course!) and then i took her up to show her iZ's room ("he's got his OWN ROOM!?!?!") and it just started all over again .... *GRIN*
there's no point ot this story, 'cept maybe that every once in a while, you WILL find SOMEone who is as impressed with your baby as you are! (and it's even better when it's your little sister that is *finally* envious of YOU!) LOL

ps. MUST add that her son's lizards (geckos i think?) are going on FIVE years old! this is NOT your ordinary 12 yo kid!
