You don't have to stop feeding carrots totally, just not daily. It's not that they are bad for iguanas, just that they can be bad if fed daily, as they are high in some ingredients which can be bad when ingested too often... Variety is the key to a good iguana diet. The only food I feed my ig daily is collards. I feed carrots about twice a week.

: : Dehydration may also be a factor. If the ig isn't sufficiently hydrated it may be trying to expel salts more frequently. I don't know the potassium content of crickets and worms but I DO know that they're high in animal protein which shouldn't be fed to captive iguanas. Incidental protein ingestion, i.e. fly in a cage, etc, won't hurt them but long term diets consisting of animal protein have been known to cause severe health problems in iguana. Also, watch the carrots as too much sugar, natural or otherwise, is also not good for iguanas. What are you feeding besides collards and carrots?
