Xta had a great way of changing cages.If you can't do it that way,,move most if not all her stuff from the old cage to the new.Scents of her will be in the new enclosure.
As far as spaying,,,I had my girl Cirsis spayed and felt soo much better when it was done.I know it wasn't as much for her benifit,,,but it was.No possible egg binding.The vet did a wonderful job and she healed quickly and didn't have any problems except with Go who didn't understand she wasn't interested anymore in his advances.Even egging takes alot out of igs and worrying about reabsorption was aways a concern.
