: Beautiful family!!In my " family" (3 males and 2 females) I have the some problem. The biggest male eats first!Sometimes after eating he lays down over the food only to avoid the others to eat!
: : Is this a face only a mother could love, or what?!?!? My girl Shirl!
: : Some of you may remember Shirley and I (probably from other lists) from last August, when we went through our tramatic "is it kidney failure or is she egg bound" crisis. Well, if you remember that, or if don't, thought I'd post a pic of her sweet face. Remember, this is an old lady we're talking about.
: : She's always been a very sweet girl, but during her log recovery she's become an angel Ig. Oh yeah. . .it turned out she was egg bound (HOW the he-- I missed that I'll never know), and both egg sacs had broken. The doc had to make a big incision, but was able to remove all the egg (shells & yolk), and clean her up enough where she pulled through.
: : She came home w/3 days worth of tiny synthetic morphine shots (for the pain), 7 huge needles full of batril (to fight possibility of infection if they'd missed anything in the cleaning). You can still see the batril scars, where I must not have stuck the needle far enough into her neck. Let me tell you. . .giving shots to a 7 pound Ig (by yourself) is no picnic. . .even when they're weak & not feeling good.
