Sounds like you're doing all the right things then. Keep on top of her treatment and don't be afraid to ask questions. Even experienced herp vets can't always catch every little thing. There have been times when our vet has literally told us to p*** off because he hadn't heard of what we had come up with for possible diagnosis/treatment but after he calms down and looks into it a bit he usually gives whatever we came up with a shot...;) To me, that's the best relationship you could possibly have with a doctor of ANY kind. If he had stonewalled us on one diagnosis, Doc would most likely have never used his back legs or bowels again because our vet had never had a chance to look into Vitamin B Deficieny Paralysis before we came along.
Without seeing your ig the best that we can offer is to go along with the vet's diagnosis/treatment and see if you can come up with anything else in the meantime. Nothing says that you can't consult with other vets at the same time. The more minds working on the problem the better chance you have of solving the problem....
