: Gosh..may not be much help afterall...but here is a link that has 3 different reptile classifieds..make sure when posting you indicate city & state (more helpful to you & potential owners) I checked out the link to Melissa Kaplan's & there is no indicated rescue in New York...kinda strange I thought. Also if you cannot wait for private home placement..notify local reputable reptile stores..often times they will take them & resell or use as potential breeders. At least they are knowledgeable about reps and his iguanas would be well cared for. Also these shops might point you in the right direction re: rescues in the area.Another avenue is to notify reptile vets & and ask for help placing them or post in their clinics, alot of serious potential adopters there too Can't find one of the links (Hypermart Public Ads) but these three might suffice for now.Wish I can figure out how to do that blue thing..you know just transfer the link..one of these days I guess!

My friend John works in a pet store, so I gather that he is trying for direct home placement. I will speak to him of the options you recommended. Neither of us are newcomers to herping and I think he will probably have thought of these things and was just looking for takers. Then again, maybe I'm wrong altogether. Best to you and your scaly family ;)
