: I have had my iguanas for a year now and I have only seen a few inchs growth in both of them. How long before they get full grown? They have a 5'x5'x5'encloser.
The growth of your iguanas also depends on how they are fed and taken care of. If you are feeding them the right foods and using the lights and UVB's, maybe you just don't notice them growing because you see them every day.
When I got Max, he was a teeny little thing, only inches long and he's now 2 and he's 42" long (and would have been longer, but he lost some tail). IN the beginning, he didn't look like he was growing longer, just getting a little thicker.
If your igs are shedding, that's another way to know if they're growing. I think igs shed (younger igs) maybe every 4-6 weeks (slower as they are grown).
