I gotta say, this is just a guess, but our church (husband is pastor:o) is up in the woods, and we have alot of little lizards...I think they are green anoles...anyway, my kids found out that when they are cold, they are real slow....it seems like they are asleep or dead....easy to catch though, so maybe the temp drop put them in suspended animation, then they began moving around more as they warmed up. (cuz you can't hardly catch a little green anole on a hot summer day!!
PS: I am so glad that your story had a happy ending I can just imagine how your heart flipped when you saw them alive!! And since I am a pastor's wife...I believe in miracles, too!! :o)
