: I'm joking of course, but he just got my blood boiling!!!!! (partially from worrying). He is doing a supershed right now and although he has been less active lately (seems to be coming out of breeding season, he definitely is a bit more full of headbobs and defiance!) Well today he was wound up again, climbing all over the house and trying to get into everything. Finally I locked him up in the lizard room which has been made ig-safe (so we thought). He proceeds to climb the clothes rack and knock clothes all over the floor...o.k. that's pretty typical. No big deal. Then, I forgot to close the laundry door all the way, so he gets in there and gets behind the washer and dryer. It took my husband & I to get him out. It was a bit of a pain but still no major ordeal. I make sure those doors are shut tight!
: Then, as I walk through the room to do more laundry, I don't see him anywhere! What??? Finally I see him on top of his cage-- not far from the ceiling! And the 2 ceiling fans are on, all his super hot lights and he is inches away from both of them. I FREAK OUT! How did he get up there??? I rush to turn off the fans first before I have a headless lizard. Then I get a step ladder from the garage so I can reach him. Well he proceeds to dig his nails into the small patch of hardware cloth on top, and I cannot pry all his toes at once. He starts tangling himself in a hot light! Ahhh! I start screaming at him that he is a bad boy! Finally he gets away from me and stands just out of reach...I try to play with his tail enough to annoy him to move...no deal! (he just looks at me) I move the ladder to the otherside and with much wrestling finally get him down...and now have 50 million bloody scratches to prove it! I was yelling at him the whole time like he was a human child and could understand what I was saying to him. Crazy I know!
: He is so strong now though. I still cannot figure out how he got up there!!! The cage is close to 6ft high with smooth melamine and plexi on all sides. The cages next to it are all melamine and glass. The only thing I can figure is one of the cage doors was open and he used it to step on, but even then I cannot envision him doing it! It is very slippery. My adrenaline is skyrocketing still from this scare! Back in the cage he went for now! He has superpowers I'm telling you. You see him in action climbing the french doors here (which we covered now), but now he can walk up walls apparantly! That's it...maybe he pried himself between the cage and the wall to get to the top???? He would do that...and that actually seems more feasible...hmmmm a mystery until I catch him in person and you know I will because he will try it again now that he's figured it out...little troublemaker! :-P
