In true redtail boas (Boa constrictor constrictor), the localities are identified by country, as in Suriname, Guyana, Brazil, etc...
The same color variations appear in iguanas, although iguanas are generally not considered a "collection" animal, so no one really bothers with the different localities.
Also, in the pet trade, the masses of iguanas coming in are not identified by locality, so it makes it tough to determine where your specific iguana came from...
I wont even get into the subject of locality intergrades....

: I am curious, if anybody knows about subspecies, if any exist. IF so what are they and what locations are they from. What characteristics are different from others. For example, I know some grow horns on snout(not rhino igs), some get orange during breeding, some get blue, some bright green, and some are very drab. Are all these just variations or are they geographically different?
