i do not *disagree* with Melissa! ... my point is, i just don't know! i have 3 people that i truly respect for their caring and hard work for/with iguanas and they happen to have different opinions on this matter ... i'm trying to do some research on my own and come up with my own conclusions ... NOT an easy task!!! maybe, an impossible one (for me anyway) ....

as far as what *i* feed iZ .... i've read + read + read and try to find the middle ground of it all ... pretty much, i've come up with being closer to Jennifer Swofford's suggestions (The Basking Spot) ... the things i am doing *seem* to be working ... iZ's health has improved TREMENDOUSLY since he moved in 2 yrs ago and he heals rather quickly (as far as herps go) when he does something ungraceful and hurts his jaw or fractures his tail ... but *my* experience is **VERY** limited (2 yrs with 1 ig) as opposed to the experiences of Melissa K., Jennifer S. and Kevin Egan (Iguana Den)!!!!

i have learned *so* much in the last 2 yrs and want to continue .... sometimes the best way to learn is to be like that annoying little kid who keeps asking "But WHY?!?!" *grin*
