taming technique

when jub-jub was little i had the same problem. He would always freak out (never nipping but alot of tail slashing) when i would try to get him out of his cage. Just gently throw a towel over the ig (head and all) then, touch him through the towel first, and then pick him up. always worked for me. he's totally tame now (and thank god because now he's a 6 foot mini-crocodile.)
