Also, astroturf can present a risk because it can fray around the edges and, if your ig smells EVERYTHING with his tongue like mine does, he can pick up loose bits and ingest them, potentially causing impaction. I use astroturf and it works great for me, but I am very careful to trim around the edges and remove any frayed or loose pieces. Just make sure he's pooping ok!
