Poopy Question Again

First of all I just realised that I have never said thanks to all the helpful people in this forum that have helped me get along with me Lizard. So A BIG Thank you!!!

Well for the question.
Lizard poops everywhere except where he sleeps. There is a elevated area in his "two story house" (just a shelf) where he would sun bask. The thing is that I am trying to get him not to poop there. How would I go about trying not to get him to poop there. I have tried placing a plate of water(chest deep) at the lower level below his basking shelf, but it does not seem to work. Please help. I am trying to get him to poop in a single place cause I want to put fake grass around his home. Instead of the ugly newspapers around. (Sorry for the long message) Please help Thanks!!
