When mine was smaller I held him every day for at least two 15-20 minute sessions. Usually around the same time each day. He got to where he would ride around the house on my shoulder. Now, I usually hold him a few minutes after his bath each day and at night-time before lights out. He's a cuddler at that time. But the key, as far as I'm concerned, is consistency and patience.
