some clarifications on the rattlesnake article (my 2 cents)

Ok, I live in Texas now but spent 18 years of my life in New Mexico. First off, the hantavirus is no longer of epidemic concern (please correct me if I'm wrong on this, I have been a way for a couple years). Second off, so far as I know, plague has never been an issue around Albuquerque, where I was born and raised. This has little or nothing to do with the issues at hand, which are animal rights and whether or not hunting animals for sport should be an American's legal right (perhaps this is actually a much larger issue than we herpers think it is?), which CNN does not address.

I guess I'm just saying that CNN, who reported on this issue, knows little or nothing about the ecosystem of the environment in question, the needs of the animal in question, etc. there are so many other elements involved. Guess I'm rambling,
