you can either just use a towel and move him away from the poop, or remove him from the enclosure completely to clean it.
I know you may be afraid, but you've gotta bite the bullet and get that poop outta there!
Cleaning his cage, and handling him to remove him will help with the taming process as well. So you'll be getting 2 birds with one stone!
As scary it may seem to handle him, you need to do it sometime, and its better to get started sooner than later.
