Your post was very moving, S&S's Mom. I will also add some poetry I have collected. It takes sooo long to heal these wounds....it's hard to ever find the right words for such a loss.
I AM NOT THERE (author unknown)(my favorite one)
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
AFTER DEATH (poem on my beloved ig Salvador's death certificate)
"Farewell, Master, Yet not farewell.
Where I go, ye too, shall dwell
I am gone, before your face,
A moment's time, a little space.
When ye come where I have stepped
Ye will wonder why ye wept."
