Just wanted to add my condolences...I'm very sorry to hear of your loss...and the others that lost pets, too...I know this has nothing to do with an ig...but I had to have a very sweet dog put to sleep last week...I miss him alot...so I know how you all feel...see, you are not alone.
I comfort myself by imagining him running to greet me when I get heaven. (probably not scriptural...but it helps!)
