: What are you feeding for a diet?

He gets mixed greens - collards, mustard greens and escarole, mixed with some other veggies including green beans, peas in the pod, and some squash or sweet potato. As I mentioned, he doesn't eat all of this but only has a few bites. He goes for the greens first. He ate a pea pod yesterday.

: What brand/type of bulb are you using for UV?

Not ZooMed, but it was shown to be very comparable in an independent test.

: How close can the ig get to the bulb?

It is about one foot over him. he can climb to a little bit closer if he wants.

: How long is the bulb on for during the day?

The bulb goes on around 7:15 am and goes off at about 9:30 pm.

: What are the meds it's on?

CalGlucon. We give him the meds directly, not on his food (since he doesn't eat much).

: Why do you/your vet think MBD is involved?

The vet did bloodwork and took x-rays. He was showing signs of it externally: lethargy, decreased appetite (or entire lack of one before this past week), swollen jaw.

: How old is the iguana?

He is getting close to 3 years now.

: How long have you had it?

Had him for two years now. The book we had on iguanas didn't mention UV requirements and all the things he needed in his diet. :-( We tried to take care of him.

: Has any bloodwork been done?

Yes. At the vet.

: Has there been any fecal exam done?

No.

: If bloodwork has been done was there any screening for or evidence of amoebic activity?

I'm not sure of this...

I've tried to answer all your questions. Any suggestions?
