: : Need advice from the wiser. My ig needs a new house.I know several
: : people that keep iguanas. Two built nice enclosers out of melemine.
: : They have all the bells and whistles. They provided them with branches
: : to climb on,but the iggs show litte intrest. They go to their basking
: : ledge and lay. They come down to eat, drink and s##t.The enclosers
: : are about 5'x4'x3'and are on stands about 2' off floor.Very heavy
: : because of melamine.
: : Now the one guy uses a rather large dog crate, about 4'x3'x3'.He put a
: : basking shelf in it and his iggy does basicly the same thing. The
: : ig seems healthy and friendly. He sprays ig everyday with mister bottle
: : so I don't know if humidity is a factor
: : or not in an open cage. The nice thing is that all he has to do is
: : open door and ig can come and go as he pleases. The crate is easy
: : to clean and maintain and be carried outside in nice weather.
: : I saw one at petsmart I like.No sharp edges,well built.Tried to
: : post pic but don't know if it will work.If not it's at petsmart.com
: : under dog crates. The name is petzazz dog crate. The largest one.
: : Thank for the input.
: Don't know why link didn't work.Try again.If not
: it's easy to find.Thanks
Cage is not plastic coated but very smooth. The only reason
I liked this cage is because it is well built and
nothing sharp to hurt Iguana.
