As for the cage.. i'm thinking of building my own here soon (during the summer, one for outside and a very nice one for my room). So i'm starting to look at some of the things you are.
Here are some questions I am asking myself:
Is the iguana going to free roam?
How much money am i going to spend?
What materials are available to me?
How much time do i need to spend to clean it?
How BIG do i want this cage?
Well. What i've basically come to the conclusion of doing is that i'm going to make the enclosure inside all closed in with a plexi-glass front.
However, i still don't know what to use - melemine or regular wood stained and coated with a type of water resistant pant. If i use normal wood i have to watch the rotting due to the humidity inside of it.
I also plan on using a normal humidifier found at like Wal-mart (think someone recommended the robitussen one?) and the shelves are gonna be covered with ropes, and dsome shelves for basking/resting. The extras i may put in are some fake greenery just to give the cage a nice 'comfy' feel for the iguana.
I plan on having one light fixture, ceramic, with a Zoo-med Active bulb (those 50 dollar ones used for MBD that Mr. D keeps talkin about =P). I may also stick a heat panel in there for winter, however i'm pretty sure that it will keep the temperature toasty and retain heat well.
As for how big/tall a cage should be? I've seen people here over countless times say at *least* 6 x 6 feet. Mostly because you iguana

As for that dog cage, the only thing is that to *me* it doesn't look like it will hold a full grown iguana for long. And also, is the wire coated? if not it will really mess up your igs nose, and it sucks.
And, if you don't want to build your own cage..you can order one from one of the nice iguana cage selling places (look in a reptile magazine to find one). I know i saw one that was about 6 x 7 for about 650 or so. That was without the stand, without the front glass door as well, however, that will give you an amount that you'll probably end up spending on the cage.
Below is a page that hosts tons of images of cages from wherever..hope it helps with some ideas. Oh yes..i belive right now it's gone over it's bandwitdh i guess =P
