How old are you iguana's?
And if you house them together, one could be under stress and perhaps not growing as fast as the other one..or not getting enough food, or simply not eating.
Males are skinnier then females when they get more mature, simply because females are wider to carry eggs. Personally i couldn't tell you anything about whether males or females are longer, i don't really thing they are.
As for the head bobbing, all iguana's do that wether they are female or male. It's how they greet you, or they stand up on their legs and warn you to stay away. It's their form of communication. (that and the beard..)
Anyways...as for sexual characteristics..i noticed my ig developing pores (the best way to tell it's male) at about a year and 4 or 5 months old. (or at least i think he's that old) he's about 1 year and 8 months now. I've also noticed his jowls are getting bigger and the fat at the top of his head is starting to get bigger.
Anywayss, hope that helps..
