Having said that, I'll now say that I hope Floppy can pull out of whatever s/he may be facing as igs generally do not show symptoms of illness easily. Combined with the fact that you don't know of a reptile vet in your area tells me that Floppy has NEVER been examined by a vet - at least not as long as you have lived in Washington.

Granted I don't know the circumstances so it's easy to jump to conclusions HOWEVER part of responsible reptile keeping is knowing the location of qualified veterinary facilities and actually using them. Wellness checkups should be a part of ANY animal's maintainence ESPECIALLY an animal completely out of it's natural element and in need of specialized diet/environment.
