Give me a break ... at least the mammal shelter took the iguana in. Many of them will not. While it may be an imperfect system it's the only one we have and I for one will not slap the face of a legal animal rescue by making assumptions.

Oh and BTW -I've talked to the Boston shelter many times and at least they try to find appropriate homes ... others shelters will give an iguana to any Joe Schmo off the street.
