Well, I made one once for my iguana when it was little out of a shoelace. I had a really FAT pair of laces that was all the rage in the early eighties,... Start on top of the lizard, bring the laces down behind either arm, and cross it over his chest. Then bring it back up and fasten the ends together at the neck. you can also then fasten the neck knot to the stap over the back. This way if the lizard struggles or tugs, the pressure should be on his shoulders, and he won't get choked. You want it snug, but not tight. I tried to get the laces between spikes, so as not to cause problems there. Don't let him struggle long if he gets tangled up, I learned the hard way that iguanas get irrational with fear really quick if they are tied up, and can injure themselves. I never used this harness as a means of restaint if I could avoid it. It was always just as an added safety measure in case he jumped out of my arms while outside. Once he got bigger, I made one out of a sock. I cut the toe end off, and cut holes for arms. It looked like a turtleneck sweater! I then laced a thick peice of yarn though it as the "leash". Once again, this was not to restain, but as a backup plan if he would jump free. It was no fun trying to get him in the "sweater" either. I finally got smart, and once he was a strapping 15 lbs, I got a small size cat harness from the pet sore, and used a regular dog leash. With the cat harness, I was back to trying to get the straps between the spikes... but I have not ever lost any spikes. Hope these ideas help.

: Hi!
: Does anyone knows how to make an Iguana Harness? Are there any pages about it etc? (My iguana isn't fully grown). Any information about a harness is appreciated! :-)
