Well if she is wild caught and he is serious about caring for her, he should take her to the vet. She is probably full of parasites and in great need of calcium after laying. She needs calcium rich foods like collard greens, turnip greens, dandelion...sprinkle them with some squash and sweet fruit like melon, berries, mango to temp her.
