My dear, clueless, MIL was very worried that I might get eaten by my igs when that guy in Delaware got eaten by his Nile monitors. I had to tell her that my Igs #1 are herbivores, #2 couldn't possibly get more than my wrist into their mouths if they wanted to. She was very worried though.

Just tell her that anything you can catch from your ig comes from their poop, and you make it a habit to NOT eat lizard poop.
