i dont understand hom a 29 inch green reptile can vanish like he did....

: Tarzan has gotten himself behind curtains when he was a tiny 'ol chap. Scared me half to mah grave!!! I eventually found his itty bitty tail sticking out from behind the curtains and saved my little baby from the evil's of windows and lost-dom =) Those curtains are pinned up now. They are a delicate material and he has already snagged, and almost (if not already) ripped them. =P He's too big of a 2.5 pound boy to climb up them anymore =D

: Not too many months ago, he got himself into the heat ducts. For some odd reason he was remarkably attracted to the Cold Air Return. It was just before we finished his new cage, and the opening in the floor was uncovered. needless to say, I lost him for a few days. Fretting like mad, but promising myself that he'd show up when he got hungry. It took me a long while, once I found him in the floor, to lure him out. I had to use the handy-dandy blueberries and heat lamp to lure him out. With a mirror and flashlight in one hand to see him, and blueberries in the other, I tossed them towards him, and he ate 'em! A day or two after that, he knocked away a VERY large history book from the hole, and crawled back in!!! *sigh* I had to go through the whole ordeal all over again. Needless to say, he has NO access to that hole, and it is sufficiently covered by his cage now (and if he gets under his cage, I swear he's a super-ig!!!).

: Once, he found his way under our jacuzzi tub. One end is open, (and horribly neglected, as it needs to be closed up again) because the magentic door/cover thing fell off end broke. While cleaning out his tub one day... he found his way around the cloth that was covering the hole, and climbed in. This time, again, I had to use blueberries and flashlights to lure him out. Ater a lot of useless inventions and lasso's, and a lot of coaxing, he finally came within reach of my grasp and was swiftly removed from the cob-webby dungeon of DOOM! =P

: what I'm trying to say is... look behind furniture, behind dressers and book shelves. Look high and low --especially high. and whatever you do.. LOOK FOR THE TAIL!!! =)

: Leave out some of his favourite treats, and keep a close eye out. Keep the house quiet, because he may be scared by rampaging children (one of my dilema's in the cold air return drama), loud music, and just general noise.

:
: Good Luck!!!
