just now getting to read the latest posts ...

it really sounds like the lack of appetitite +lack of poop is due to all the stress he's going thru lately ... and yes, that includes being suddenly "grounded" + unable to climb ... *grin*

where did he poop before he broke his leg? if he's always pooped somewhere *outside* of his enclosure, then he's really not going to want to start pooping inside it ...

i'd bribe him with his favorite foods, even if that includes something that's not totally good, just to get something into his belly ~ *my* way of thinking is that a little bit of "junk food" at this point is better than nothing at all ... the nothing at all way is going to potentially start *more* problems and/or stress ... (and i'm SUCH a "mom"!!! sick kids deserve their favorite foods regardless! *grin*)

even tho he can't climb, try to make sure that he *can* get enough exercise ~ that'll also help the poop situation ... can he walk around on your bed or on the floor? something like that? or make a "ramp" to his favorite shelf so he can still get there without climbing???

glad you're seeing the vet tuesday ~ *grin* ~
hope he's already pooped by the time you're reading this ... ?!?!
but even if he hasn't yet, i think given the circumstances, etc, it's not really a *big* deal at this point ....

best wishes!!!
Bon. (compulsive/obsessive/paranoid humommy)
