More then likely that they are abscesses which are quite firm in reptiles. The jaw is quite a common place for these abscesses to occur, I have had to lance and flush them from rescued igs on several occasions. They will also frequently just disappear on their own once proper basking temps are provided. Good luck with your vet visit.
