i can't believe it ......

iZ pooped last nite ~ 1st time since saturday + it was a traumatic experience but ~ this time i REALLY think things will improve now ...

1st thing "out" was a *very hard* piece of feces the size of my little finger, following by a HUGE sigh from iZ and a rush of "normal" poop + urates ...

i examined the "1st piece" cuz it looked weird ~
he'd eaten a piece of WOOD!!!!!
paper thin, but 1.5" long x 1/4" wide ... obviously had been quite sharp at one time ...

well *geesh* NO WONDER he wouldn't even "try" to go!!
it must've made it part way thru his system + then got stuck or sumthin ... i dunno ... no signs of blood, tho from the way things looked, if it *did* scratch/poke anything, it was on the way *in* not on "the way out" ...

i searched his room looking for the place where the wood came from + was pretty sure that he must've bitten some of the wood lattice that's in his room ... i found where it came from + yep it was from the lattice ~ but ~ as near as i can figure, he did it over a month ago!

*now* the stomatitis makes sense ~ what was really throwing me off was that it's a *secondary* infection ~ now i know what the *primary* infection is ...

*heavy sigh*

him not wanting to TRY didn't make sense to me ~ goodness gracious, he passed that huge stone! ahhhhhhhhhh, but the stone had ROUNDED edges ...

just went up to give him his meds + a drink ... i can't believe the change in his color! he looks like he feels alot better today ... :)
sore on his head is still oozing + mouth still looks pretty sore ... but maybe now that his tummy doesn't hurt, his appetite will pick up and getting good calories in should help speed the healing process ... i hope ...

ok, i'm pretty sure i've had ENOUGH excitement for a while now ... let's hope dragon-baby agrees!
