How old is your baby? Has it always been black or did it just develop the discoloration? The reason I ask is because if its always been that way, it could be as simple as the baby lost its tail when it was younger and it grew back this way. Happened to me once when a fight developed between 2 of my iggy's when they were both young. The one that dropped its tail regenerated it quite quickly but it grew back black. The other possibility is that its diseased. Gangrene etc...how long have you had your baby? My advise would be to seek out a good reptile vet. They are harder to find but do your research. Its so important. After several trial and errors I found a great vet only this week actually. Good luck hope your baby's ok.
