Orange and Tails

I've had a good 'n long session with Gali today (in fact, he's still hanging out on my shirt right now! lol) and I noticed that he has some stunning orange along the edge of his dewlap. He also has some on his "eyebrows" (for lack of a better term). I was wondering if this is just some strange coloration (he DOES have some gorgeous blues on his face), or could he be the youngest ig on record in breeding season? lol.

Another concern of mine is his tail. He broke off a tip a month or so ago, and it seemed to heal well (treated with triple antibiotic ointment etc). Today, I noticed that he either has some retained shed towards the end of his tail, or just some plain nasty looking scales. The very tip of his tail has some dry gangrene ( 1-2mm ?). I don't know whether this is just the area where he had some damage from the piece of tail that fell off (it was less than a cm long). I'll keep an eye on it, and put some mineral oil onto the area with what looks like stubborn shed. If the dry gangrene doesn't just fall off, and continues to move up his tail I'll schedule a vet appt. to get it checked out.
