Actually, Bon, you can get power inverters powerful enough to run color tv's, blenders, microwaves, air conditioners, etc. IN YOUR VEHICLE... Remember "the groan" whenever someone in the family suggested that "we all go camping" and they really meant in a tent?

The cheapest ones I've seen are single outlet units that run somewhere around $50. For a few bucks more you can get one with (2) 110v outlets. Take a look at Crutchfield.com and see if they still carry them.
