My 10 year old iguana went through a scary period of emaciation, with possible kidney problems as the cause. The blood work was unclear as to the cause, but some levels indicate kidney issues. Anyway, he is now on Baytril, Flagyl (sp?), Pedialyte, and a special diet called Critical care made by Oxbow, that is mixed 50:50 with water. My vet is an exotic specialist with her main focus being herps, and she has consulted with a few other herp specialists.
Has anyone else heard of this dry food? Any experience with it long term. My iguana, Edd, is doing much better now and is eating this food like crazy. Just wanted to here some other opinions.
Also, anyone had any experience with far-sightedness in their igs? My boy has always had problems with depth perception, especially with things less than a foot away. This makes it hard for him to locate the exact placement of food, and he often chews aimlessly on the sides of plates and bowls.
