Homer (the savannah monitor) is an absolute terror. I guess I am used the the bigger monitors, they tend to calm down a little as they get older. Homer attacks anything and everything that comes into his cage. He eats rat pinks like mad... You'd think he was starving!!! But prior to his operation, he had been impacted for over a month, and hadnt eaten in quite a while. So I guess it is understandable that he is pretty ravenous after not being able to poop for that long.

As far as him getting adopted right away... Well, we will hold on to him for a while I think. It is a lot tougher to let them go after spending a fortune on vet care, and then only to let them go for a measly adoption fee. Not that the money is that big of a deal...
