We are in the planning stage of building a new (indoor) enclosure for Keegan as a summer project. (Well actually right now I am trying to talk my fiance into helping me... then I'll be in the official planning stage *lol*) I've gotten a lot of good ideas from web photos.
The plans are so far to build a "book case" type enclosure with shelfs for climbing on and such. The front and sides will probably be of framed hardward cloth with a solid back. I didn't want the back panel to be plain wood, so I started looking for decorative backdrops, similar to what you would see on a fish tank - but I haven't had any luck. So then the idea of painting the back panel in a leafy-branchy type mural would look nice. But what about the paint?
Hmm. I have seen a lot of enclosures that have been painted or stained - my question is about the paint. Are there any types that I should stay away from? Or should I just opt for covering a large picture/backdrop in glass, which would be more difficult?
Just wondering. I guess I need to focus my energy on getting my fiance to do the actual construction right now... lol ....
