The rescue has arrived!

She's such a sweetie. I have sketchy history so far, but she was kept in a 20 gallon long aquarium, with no UV. She was on shavings, with a hot rock. The poor gilr has burns on her belly. She has disfigured toes --either from MBD or breaking (although I really think its MBD). Her nose is banged up really bad too. Her top jaw, near the lip is a bit recessed. The raised nostril is there no more. Her nose is just so beat up it breaks my heart. I clipped her nails (boy do I have the scratch down my left pinky from before I cut 'em!). She has a vet appt. Monday morning (The earliest we could sqeeze her in). I'll try to get some pictures ASAP. LOL, I REALLY need a digicam!

She could be up to 5 years old, and is smaller than Tarzan! She has her full tail, but is completely TINY. Her name is Kahlua. It just tears my heart to shreds seeing such sweet animals neglected like this. =(

Now she's in an enclosure that'll give her some room to move around and bask, under UV for once! I already have a home on hold for her. The new home will be with my uncle and the lady who helped me rescue her. She's too much of a sweetheart to let go to some place where I wouldn't be able to see how she's grown after she's healthy :)

Just thought I'd update you guys on the situation. I'll get the pictures up of her and her toes, face, size, etc. ASAP. I'll try to get in contact with the previous owner as soon as I Can as well.... I really need to get the history on her, to better help her, and find out about any other possible problems.
