i'm gonna give you a bunch of links to some excellent ig sites ... read read read! :)
lose the vita-spray tho ~ it's worthless ...

igs don't like change of ANY kind and so if this guy just recently moved in with you, that was prob'ly the problem ~ he just needed some time to adjust to new surroundings is all ...

as far as diet, the links will help with that ...
feed leafy greens like collards, mustard greens, dandelion greens, escarole, endive ~ NO lettuce cuz it has NO nutrients ...

igs have sharp teeth but they do NOT chew so leaves should be torn into pieces no bigger than the igs head ... vegies need to be sliced VERY THIN (like with a potato peeler) or grated ... don't feed much fruit at all ~ it's not as good for them and too much can give tummy aches + "the runs" ~ not a fun time for any involved, PLUS that can lead to dehydration ...

the basking spot has a good table of what foods are good ~ i printed it out + took it to the store with me when i was 1st starting out ...

things are crazy here right now, so must run ...
check out the links, do lots of reading + ask questions!

good luck!!
Bon. + iZ

oops ~ almost forgot the links ...
