I never watch the show, but I saw the snakes while channel surfing and stopped... it was pretty bad. I was thinking pretty much the same thing any other reptile lover who saw it was thinking. How can they get away with literally THROWING these snakes around, and televising it for entertainment? Of course, I think someone else already made the comment that you would never see that with cuddly puppies, or kittens.
I love ALL animals, I don't call that entertainment no matter what it is they use. As I was watching, of course due to my particular fondness for all things reptilian, I was concerned for the snakes, but they also had Madegascar hissing roaches in the same segment, and I found myself wondering how many of those wound up squished in the process. (And I tend to be squeemish about anything beyond the crickets & mealwoms I feed my chameleon.)

As well as televising cruelty to animals (where were the agencies that are supposed to regulate use of animals in film?), using snakes or other reptiles in shows like Fear Factor or any other like it only perpetuates the perception that reptiles are creepy, evil and bad.

: don't worry it was this week and i didn't see it either but the other furoms are filled with gruesome stories.
