: : How long have you been doing iguana rescue? (Or reptile rescue)
: Not long at all, although I stepped into it with someone who had been doing rescue for 3 yrs.
: : When you first started what did you have to get started?
: Lets see... LOTS of cages, LOTS of heat pads, LOTS of UV lights, LOTS of heat lamps, and LOTS of food!!
: : Did you set a limit when you first started?
: No, and we still have no limit. We have not turned anyone down as long as I have been here.
: : How many rescues do you have NOW?
: 67
: : How many other reptile species did you get in besides iguanas, even though your plan was iguanas ONLY?
: Iguanas was not the only plan... We have snakes, monitors, geckos, frogs, a salamander, turtles, tortoises, etc. You name it, we either have it or have at one time.
: : What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start a rescue?
: Prepare to give up your personal life, your free time, your free space, and your income.
: : What is the WORST thing you have seen (personally) in your rescue?
: Too many to name just one.
: :
: : WHy did you get into rescue?
: Love of the animals.
: : What would you change from when you started to what you know now?
: Bigger house.
: : Thanks for all who answer i think it will be very intresting to hear the "reality" of rescuers.
