If you notice crusty buildup on his cage walls from this sneezing, it could just be excess salt build up in his system that he is trying to get rid of. This would be normal.

Usually a cold or respiratory infection is pretty serious in an iguana-- you may see rubbery saliva & bubbling saliva in the corners of his mouth, general lethargy and holding his head up high to breathe. If you know your iguana's behavior very well, you will notice a difference. If these other symptoms sound like what your ig has, I would try to tell the vet it is an emergency. Also, boost up your temps. If it just sounds like the expelling of excess salt, then you can wait until your regular appointment. My last iguana died of a respiratory infection in 48 hours (vet closed on weekend)-- it is usually the sign that his immune system in not up to par from more serious problems. It is common for igs to sneeze out salt, however, and a bunch of us here refer to it as "snalt"-- lol.
