I'm currently keeping 17 GGI's, 7 Cyclura iguanas, 11 Tegus, 4 Monitors, 3 BD's, a Spinytail iguana, 2 Uros, 4 Tortoises, 3 Tarantulas, a Millipede, a colony of Roaches, about 2 dozen snakes, a dog, 3 cats, and fish. I do have the help of my adult daughter in caring for all of these animals. I work about 34 hours a week out of the home. Besides my job the critters are pretty much my life. I'm not complaining, it's a choice I've made and one that I'm happy with.

If someone doesn't meet my standards and are refused an adoption they may very well go buy a pet store iguana. I've run across more people that are willing to make some changes or do some research if they are truly interested in adopting than people who aren't. My way I have peace of mind and the satisfaction of knowing that I've made a good match and all parties involved will be happy.
