(from summer '98 ~ about 2yo, 3'stl, ~1 lb.)

i think ALOT depends on the individual ig and humon in question ...

i rescued iZ when he was about 18mo ~ about 30" nose to tail ...
he was in fairly good health, tho his diet left alot to be desired + he'd been mis-treated ...
he was an absolute TERROR towards the woman who owned him + fought like mad to get away from her ... she handed him to me + he got quiet, pressed his face into my neck + wouldn't let go ... from day one, he's been an absolute sweetheart to me ...

but ~ no matter whether you get a baby iglet, an adult, or somewhere in between the bottom line is the same ~ igs are NOT an easy animal to care for!
they're more "fragile" than they look!
whichever you choose, you're going to need alot of time + patience + prob'ly not a little cash besides ...

do lots of reading, research + ask lots of questions *before* you bring an ig home ... they're alot of "work" ... (not that iZ isn't worth every second + more!!!)

Bon.
